Budgens of Stock – Team Leader Vacancy

Location: Stock, Essex

Hours: 40 hours p/w

Salary: £13 per hour

PBFS are currently looking for a skilled, reliable and hard-working Team Leader to join our team. This role will be available from 1st May 2024, however we are looking to begin training prior to this, so please send your CV to office@pbfsltd.com for consideration.  

Main Duties:

  • Managing the ordering and delivery process, using up to date data to ensure correct products and quantities are available.
  • Overseeing and reporting health and safety procedures including daily store checks.
  • Overseeing merchandising of the store, led by the store manager, to ensure the shop is well presented at all times.
  • Management of the team in the Site Managers absence, organising the store rota, holiday and any cover required.
  • Ensure high quality shop presentation and cleanliness at all times, using stock rotation, date checking, and store room organisation to ensure customers are offered the best possible shopping experience.
  • Customer service – Budgens of Stock is an independently run Budgens store, and we pride ourselves on building lasting relationships with our customers, we would love someone to join the team and help build on this, ensuring the village and customers beyond are greeted with a friendly welcome and offered all of the help they need.  

Personal Speciation:

  • Applicants must have had previous experience in retail, ideally in a supervisor role.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Must have good IT skills, use of computer system, tills and back-office Prism system will be a daily requirement.
  • Excellent planning and timekeeping skills.
